Accrued Interest on the FirstRand Gold Bond

FirstRand Bank Limited wishes to advise note holders that interest
payable to investors at maturity of the FirstRand Gold Bond will be
dependent on the ZAR value of the ounce interest as at redemption.
As a result of fluctuations in the USD gold price and the
Rand/Dollar exchange rate, the ZAR value of interest paid at
maturity may not equal the sum of the ZAR interest announced
annually via SENS. FirstRand further wishes to advise that interest
is calculated in ounces of gold and as such for purposes of
calculating the annual interest which has accrued on the note; the
interest earned per ounce is converted to a ZAR amount at the end
of February in each year. Interest accrued on the FRK01 bond for
the period 12 August 2014 to 28 February 2015 has amounted to
0.00273973 ounces per unit, which yields an approximate rand
interest value of ZAR 38.24 per ounce.

*A rand gold price of ZAR 13 958.5280 per ounce has been
applied.(As at London close of business on the last business day of
February
