Shareholders are therefore advised that Basil Read’s earnings per share for the six months ended 30 June 2015 is expected to be at least 100% or 145.75 cents per share higher than the loss of 145.75 cents per share of the previously reported corresponding period. Shareholders are further advised that Basil Read’s headline earnings per share for the six months ended 30 June 2015 is expected to be at least 100% or 145.74 cents per share higher than the headline loss of 145.74 cents per share of the previously reported corresponding period. The company is in the process of finalising its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2015 which are expected to indicate a return to profitability. Once more certainty is obtained, Basil Read will provide further guidance as required by paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements. The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by Basil Read’s external auditors.
