CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS


Shareholders are advised that Stephen Goldberg has been appointed to the board of directors of Ellies as an
independent non-executive director and has been appointed as a member of both the audit committee and the
remuneration committee, with effect from 21 November 2014.

Stephen, who qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999, completed his articles at Grant Thornton Kessel
Feinstein, whereafter he joined the investment banking business of Peregrine Holdings Limited, where he
was involved in the execution of private equity transactions as well as providing corporate finance advisory
services to a number of Peregrine’s clients. In September 2002, Stephen joined Buffet Investments (Pty) Ltd
(“Buffet”) and was involved in identifying, implementing and managing a number of private equity
transactions in a variety of industries. Stephen sat on the boards of the various investee companies, including
Sally Williams Fine Foods, Eazi Access Rentals, Kevro, The Creative Counsel and Aquazania, to look after
the interests of Buffet as well as guide the various executives involved in the underlying operations. After
leaving Buffet in December 2008, he co-founded Exit Holdings SA, an investment holding company with
interests in FMCG distribution, consumer electronics and financial services.
