CHANGE IN DIRECTOR’S RESPONSIBILITIES

Further to the announcement released by Hosken Consolidated Investments Limited (“HCI”) on the
Stock Exchange News Service on Wednesday, 19 March 2014 relating to the change in status of Mr Yunis
Shaik’s position on the board of directors of HCI, Tsogo Sun shareholders are advised, in accordance
with paragraph 3.59(c) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements and the provisions of the King Code of
Corporate Governance for South Africa, that Mr Shaik’s status on the Tsogo Sun board of directors (“the
Board”) has changed from independent non-executive director to non-executive director with
immediate effect.

A further announcement will be made with regards to the composition of the Board committees when
the composition of the committees is finalised.
