RESIGNATION AND APPOINTMENT OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

Metair hereby announces the resignation of Mr Brian Jacobs, the financial director of Metair. He will
be replaced by Mr Sjoerd Douwenga effective 25 March 2014.

Metair would like to thank Brian for his valuable contribution and dedication over the last 5 years.
We wish him well in his personal business venture that will allow him more time with his family.

We extend a warm welcome to Sjoerd who has provided an excellent service to Metair over the past
few years as part of the deals team of PricewaterhouseCoopers to advise Metair on its acquisitions
strategy. Since his appointment as Business Development Director at Metindustrial (Pty) Limited –
First National Battery Division in 2013, he has proved to be an excellent candidate for a group
financial role. Brian and Sjoerd have worked closely together over the past 8 months.

Brian has agreed to a handover period as required by Metair to ensure a smooth and effective
transition.
