             Tawana Appoints In-Country Manager


Tawana Resources NL (ASX: TAW) (the Company or Tawana) is pleased to
announce the recent appointment of Mr Peter Connery to the role of In-Country
Manager, for the development of the Company’s 100% - owned Mofe Creek Iron
Ore Project, in Liberia.

Mr Connery will be based full-time in Monrovia and will travel to the Project site
and Tawana village, located in the Grand Cape Mount County.

Mr Connery’s appointment is an important step in Tawana’s continued growth as
the Company transitions from an iron ore explorer to a producer, through the
development of its exciting Mofe Creek Project.

Mr Connery has more than sixteen years’ experience in the mining and oil industry.
Peter has worked as a consultant for several major international mining and oil
exploration companies in both Africa and the Middle East, with his principal area
of expertise in risk analysis and the development of health, safety and
environmental programs and policies.

Peter was formerly the General Manager of a gold mining operation in Guinea, and
has worked in senior managerial roles for several major mining companies
throughout Africa. Peter has also had a distinguished military career in the British
and French Military and holds a Master’s Degree in Political and Military Science.

and environmental/social studies and their implementation, along with strong
