Accordingly, Mr Donny Gouveia has resigned in his capacity as financial director with immediate effect. Mr Marais is a chartered accountant with a diverse financial background. He spent ten years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the assurance division, servicing mainly listed clients in the mining, financial services and construction industries, following which, he completed his chartered financial analyst exams and spent three years as a sellside equity analyst at Investec Bank. Subsequently, Mr Marais headed up the group ERP implementation and management information projects at AngloGold Ashanti before joining Basil Read in January 2012. The Board welcomes Mr Marais’s appointment as a strategic step towards the further growth of the company. The Board also thanks Mr Gouveia for his valuable contribution to the Board and the Company over the past years in his capacity as financial director, and looks forward to his continued contribution in his capacity as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
