The board of directors of Grindrod Limited are pleased to announce
the appointment of Alf Cato Brahde and Grant Glenn Gelink as
independent non-executive directors effective 1 January 2013.
Cato qualified as a naval architect at the University of Newcastle
upon Tyne, gained a Master of Science in Business Administration
from Boston University, and holds a Diploma in Company Direction.
His current position is Managing Director of Tufton Oceanic (Isle
of Man) Limited. He has many years of international shipping
experience.
Grant is a Chartered Accountant and previous Chief Executive
Officer of Deloitte Southern Africa.
In addition, Bongiwe Ntuli has been appointed as a member of the
group executive committee in the position of Executive: Corporate
Services with effect from 1 December 2012. Bongiwe is a Chartered
Accountant and currently Divisional Chief Executive – Finance for
the Freight Services division in Grindrod.
