Prof Zinn’s experience spans a number of sectors, including banking and government. Her passion, however, lies in education. She was Deputy Global Head of Human Resources at Standard Bank from 2010 to 2012, and Enterprise-wide HR Director at Nedbank from 2005 to 2010. Over the years, she has also held positions at the Dept of Public Service and Administration, SARS and the University of the Western Cape. She has served as a director on a number of boards including The Institute of Bankers and the Bank SETA. She has been the recipient of a number of awards, including Top Woman in Business and Government as well as Top Executive in Corporate South Africa by Topco Media in 2008, and continues to be involved in community work with organisations such as the South African Association of Learning and Educational Differences. Prof Zinn holds a BA (University of the Western Cape); Higher Diploma in Education (University of Western Cape); B Ed Honours (UNISA); M Ed (University of the Western Cape); Ed M (Harvard) and Ed D (Harvard. She is currently professor (extraordinaire) of Human Resources Management: Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences – Graduate School, University of Pretoria.
