On Saturday, 21 January 2012, an employee was fatally injured during an unfortunate fall of ground accident. Operations at the mine were subsequently halted to allow for a re-evaluation of safety procedures. Operations are expected to resume as soon as the re-evaluation is completed. The Company would like to express its sincerest condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of the deceased.
