OPERATIONS INTERRUPTED AT ZONDEREINDE                                           
The management of the Zondereinde division of Northam advises that underground  
mining operations have been interrupted at its platinum mine near Thabazimbi    
in the Limpopo province following the tragic death of an employee in an         
underground locomotive accident.                                                
The name of the deceased is being withheld until his next of kin have been      
advised.
