ELI - Ellies Holdings Limited - Trading Statement Ellies Holdings Limited (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number: 2007/007084/06) JSE code: ELI ISIN:ZAE000103081 ("Ellies" or the "company") TRADING STATEMENT In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the period to be reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from the previous corresponding period. Shareholders are advised that the company expects headline earnings per share ("HEPS") for the year ended 30 April 2011 to be between 18% and 23% higher than HEPS for the year ended 30 April 2010 and earnings per share ("EPS") for the year ended 30 April 2011 to be between 17% and 22% higher than EPS for the year ended 30 April 2010. This expected increase in HEPS and EPS would follow from an expected increase in net profits after tax of between 29% and 35%, the impact of which is diluted by the April 2010 rights issue. The group`s audited financial results for the year ended 30 April 2011 are expected to be released on SENS on about the 20 July 2011.
