With regard to the audited results for the year ended 30 June 2008,             
shareholders are advised that the annual financial statements have been         
distributed to shareholders on Tuesday, 30 September 2008 and contain no        
modifications to the audited results which were published on SENS on            
Thursday, 21 August 2008.                                                       
Notice is hereby given that the annual general meeting of shareholders of       
Woolworths Holdings will be held at 09h00 in the Auditorium, 1st Floor,         
Woolworths House, 93 Longmarket Street, Cape Town, 8001 on Thursday, 20         
November 2008 to transact the business as stated in the annual general          
meeting notice forming part of the annual report.
