ASR - Assore Limited - Trading Update Assore Limited (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) Registration number 1950/037394/06 Share code: ASR ISIN: ZAE000017117 ("the Assore group") TRADING UPDATE Shareholders are advised that the Assore group has continued to benefit from positive market conditions since the final results announcement published on 30 August 2007, with increased sales volumes and increased US Dollar and Euro prices achieved for all products. As a result, attributable earnings per share for the half year to 31 December 2007 are anticipated to be between R22,00 and R26,00 (half year ended 31 December 2006 : R11,08 per share). Accordingly headline earnings per share are expected to be between R21,50 and R25,50 (half year ended 31 December 2006 : R11,02 per share). Earnings per share calculations are based on a weighted average of 27,00 million shares in issue for the half year (half year ended 31 December 2006 : 27,08 million). The above earnings forecast information has not been reviewed or reported on by the Assore group`s auditors. The interim results for the half year ended 31 December 2007 are expected to be published towards the end of February 2008.
