Mr. Horng Dih (H.D.) Lee, M.B.A., C.A. has been appointed as Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Eastplats. Mr. Lee was previously employed by Deloitte & Touche, Diamond Field Resources Inc., Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., and since 2003 as CFO of Northern Orion Resources Inc. He has 20 years experience in financial management and reporting for numerous public companies involved in international mining projects. Mr. Brian Montpellier, P.Eng, has been appointed as Vice President, Project Development, of Eastplats. Between 1974 and 2004, Mr. Montpellier held various management positions with Fluor Daniel and other major engineering firms. He has worked on over 30 major international mining projects, and has been involved in project and construction management, technical project audits, conceptual and detailed mine design and feasibility study management. Both Mr. Lee and Mr. Montpellier will play an integral part in the future success of the Company as it enters a period of significant capital expenditure and commences design and construction of several new PGM projects in South Africa. These appointments reflect both the rapid growth of Eastplats during the previous 24 months and its profile going forward, with an emphasis on financial controls, financial reporting and corporate development. In South Africa, Mr. Johannes Spies has been appointed as General Manager of the Crocodile River Mine Operations (`CRM`). Mr. Spies has over 40 years experience in mining in Africa, including over 30 years in South Africa, and until recently, was Managing Director of the AGA Obuasi Mine in Ghana. Mr. Spies, who has numerous safety and operating achievements to his credit, brings a wealth of mining experience to the role of GM at CRM. With the ramp-up of production at Zandfontein and Maroelabult, the accelerated new development work at Zandfontein, Crocette, Kareespruit, as well as the Smelter upgrade evaluation, the Company welcomes the appointment of Mr. Spies who as GM will oversee all mining and development operations at CRM. `These new appointments reflect the Company`s continued growth into a major platinum group metal producer`, stated Ian Rozier.
