Completion of wage negotiations with NUM                                        
Lonmin announces it has completed a two year wage settlement with the           
National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) in respect of its Marikana operations.      
This agreement provides for:                                                    
-    an increase of 10% in the first year effective from 1 October 2007 for     
    all category 3 to 8 employees plus increases to other benefits; and         
-    an increase of 8% for the second year.                                     
Lonmin welcomes the new agreement and looks forward to continuing to work       
with NUM over the coming years to deliver on our operational and                
transformational objectives.  Negotiations are continuing with UASA and         
Solidarity.
