The Company confirms that, pursuant to an exercise of option, it has today      
applied to the London Stock Exchange and the UK Listing Authority for the issue 
of 341,710 Ordinary Shares in relation to the investment of US$20 million by the
International Finance Corporation (IFC) pursuant to the Lonmin IFC partnership. 
The shares to be issued shall rank equally with the existing issued shares of   
the Company.
