In accordance with DTR5 of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, Lonmin Plc has
today received notification from Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited that 
as at 10 July 2007 their interest in the Company`s share capital was 4,740,081  
ordinary shares of US$1 each representing 3.06% of the total voting rights and  
capital in the Company.                                                         
The interest in the relevant share capital of Lonmin arises by virtue of        
holdings attributed to Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited, Credit Suisse 
International and Credit Suisse Investment Banking.
