Successful completion of number one furnace rebuild                             
Lonmin is pleased to announce the successful completion of the planned extensive
rebuild of the number one furnace.  The rebuild was completed safely in 27 days 
(matte tap to matte tap) some 5 days ahead of schedule.  The project was also   
completed on budget.  The work completed included the replacement of all the    
copper waffles within the furnace and should allow us to run the furnace        
continuously for a period of around 2 years with only tap hole maintenance.     
Alistair Ross, President Lonmin Platinum said:
