Salient dates announcement relating to the Black Economic Empowerment           
transaction ("the BEE transaction")                                             
Introduction                                                                    
Further to the announcement dated 13 September 2005, Discovery is pleased to    
announce the salient dates and times in respect of the BEE transaction whereby, 
subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions precedent, a number of broad   
based BEE groups, the Discovery Foundation and Discovery employees will acquire 
approximately 7.0% of Discovery"s current issued share capital (or approximately
6.54% of the issued share capital post the BEE transaction).

The salient dates and times, relating to the BEE transaction are set out below:
