4 November 2002 the following changes were made to the Board of Directors of    
Shoprite Holdings Limited:                                                      
Mr. Michael George Loubser, announced his retirement from the Board;            
Mr. Gerhard Rademeyer was appointed as new director;                            
Mr. Bhikram Harisunker was appointed as new director; and                       
Mr. Temba Reginald Hlongwane was appointed as new director.
