DIVIDEND REMINDER                                                               
Reference is made to the Lonmin Plc Interim Report 2002 in terms                
whereof notice was given that:                                                  
1. an interim dividend of US$0.30 per share will be paid on 16 August           
2002 to shareholders on the register on 19 July 2002.                           
2. dividends payable to shareholders on the South African Branch                
Register will be paid at the rate of exchange ruling on 5 July 2002.            
The Rand/Dollar exchange rate ruling for the 5th of July was 10.065             
and South African registered shareholders are therefore advised that            
the dividend per share shall be R3.0195.                                        
In accordance with the settlement procedures of STRATE, the last day            
for trading to participate in the final dividend will be Friday, 12             
July 2002. The shares will commence trading ex-dividend on Monday, 15           
July 2002, and the record date will be Friday, 19 July 2002.

A dividend reinvestment plan is available. Details are sent to all new          
shareholders on a semi-annual basis; and may also be obtained from the          
Transfer Secretaries.
