Lonmin Plc

Lonmin Plc has today received a notification in fulfilment of an obligation
imposed by Section 324 of the Companies Act 1985, that Mr P J Harper, a
Director of the Company, was notified on 12 March 2001 that, pursuant to his
and his wife's participation in the Dividend Reinvestment Plan of Lonmin Plc,
on 19 February 2001 a cash dividend to which he was entitled was invested on
his behalf in 253 Ordinary shares of GPB1 each fully paid in Lonmin Plc and a
cash dividend to which his wife was entitled was invested on her behalf in 257
ordinary shares of GBP1 each fully paid in Lonmin Plc, each at a price of
GPB10,87p per share and accordingly Mr Harper has become interested in a
further 510 ordinary shares of the Company.
