DECLARATION OF PREFERENCE DIVIDENDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following preference dividends have been
declared for the six months to 28 February 2001, payable on 9 March 2001 to
shareholders registered in the books of the company at the close of business on
Friday, 2 March 2001:
6% CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE SHARES
Dividend No. 130 of 6 (six) cents per share.
5% CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE SHARES
Dividend No. 115 of 5 (five) cents per share.
SECOND 5% CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE SHARES
Dividend No. 110 of 5 (five) cents per share.
THIRD 5% CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE SHARES
Dividend No. 108 of 5 (five) cents per share.
