Trading statement update for the year ended 31 December 2021
Standard Bank is currently in the process of finalising the group’s results for the year ended 31
December 2021 (FY21). We refer shareholders to the group’s trading statement for FY21 released on
SENS on 19 August 2021 which stated that more specific guidance ranges would be provided once
there is reasonable certainty regarding the extent of the increase in earnings.
In accordance with section 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are
advised that Standard Bank is satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists with regards to the
group’s financial results for FY21. The group’s headline earnings per share (HEPS) and earnings per
share (EPS) for FY21 are expected to be higher than the reported HEPS and EPS for the year ended
31 December 2020 (FY20), translating into:

EPS 777.0 95% - 105% higher than FY20 1,515.2 1,592.9
FY21 Results
Standard Bank will release results for FY21 on 11 March 2022. Note that Liberty Holdings Limited’s
results will be incorporated in Standard Bank’s results. Details regarding the presentation are
