APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN

CMH announced today that JTM Edwards (CA)SA has been appointed, with
effect from Friday, 11 October 2013, as successor to Maldwyn
Zimmerman who advised on 19 July 2013 that he would stand down as
chairman of the Company with effect from the next meeting of
directors.

Commenting after his appointment, Edwards said that he was proud to
have been elected as Chairman, and praised the leadership shown by
Zimmerman. Zimmerman has been chairman of the Group since its
inception in 1976 and its listing on the JSE in 1987.     Since its
listing, revenue has grown from R220 million to approximately
R10,000 million, and attributable income from R4 million to
R157 million reported last year. Edwards said he was looking
forward to the challenge of continuing this trend during the years
ahead.

Edwards was appointed to the Board in 2002, and a year later was
appointed chairman of the Audit and Risk Assessment Committee, a
position he held until May 2011. He was also chairman of the
Remuneration Committee from 2011 to 2013 and has been the Lead
Independent Non-executive director, playing an important role in
ensuring the Company maintains a high standard of corporate
governance.

A brief curriculum vitae of Edwards includes:

-   34 years at Price Waterhouse, now PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. He
    was, at the time of his retirement in 1992, managing partner in
    charge of the firm’s Durban and coastal offices.
-   National President of the South African Institute of Chartered
    Accountants
-   President of the Kwazulu Natal Society of Chartered Accountants
-   member of the Investigations Committee of the Public Accountants
    and Auditors’ Board
-   Chairman of the Kwazulu Natal Provincial Audit Committee.
-   Non-executive   chairman   of   South   African   Rail   Commuter
    Corporation Limited
-   Non-executive chairman and director of SKF South Africa (Pty)
    Ltd and SKF Bearing Manufacturers (Pty) Ltd
-   Deputy chairman and director of Ithala Development Finance
    Corporation Limited
-   Member of the National Lotteries and Gambling Board
-   Chairman of the Burnham-on-Sea Chamber of Trade and Commerce and
    director of the Somerset (UK) Chamber of Business and Industry.
