APPOINTMENT OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR In accordance with paragraph 3.84(h) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the Company hereby announces the appointment of Mr Michael (Mike) Arnold to the board of directors of ARM ("the Board") as the Financial Director with effect from 1 August 2009. Mike joined ARM in 1999 as the Group Financial Manager of Avgold Limited and in 2003 was appointed as its Financial Director. Currently, he is the Chief Financial Officer of ARM. He holds a B.Sc. Mining Geology degree from the University of Witwatersrand and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1987. ARM`s current Financial Director, Frank Abbott, will remain on the Board as a non-executive director after 1 August 2009. 2. APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR In accordance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the Company hereby advises that Mr Anton D Botha has been appointed to the Board as an independent, non-executive director with effect from 1 August 2009.
