NO CHANGE STATEMENT AND NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING                        
Shareholders are advised that the Company`s 2011 integrated annual report,      
containing the annual financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2011, has 
been posted to shareholders on Tuesday, 1 November 2011 and contains no         
modifications to the reviewed provisional results which were published on 31    
August 2011. The Company`s auditors, Ernst & Young Incorporated, have audited   
the annual financial statements and their unqualified report is available for   
inspection at the Company`s registered office. The 2011 integrated annual report
will be available on the Company`s website www.arm.co.za from Tuesday, 1        
November 2011.                                                                  
Notice is hereby given that the 78th Annual General Meeting of shareholders of  
African Rainbow Minerals Limited will be held in the Oleander Room, Sandton Sun 
Hotel, corner Fifth and Alice Streets, Sandton, on Friday, 2 December 2011 at   
14:00, to transact the business as stated in the Notice of Annual General       
Meeting forming part of the 2011 integrated annual report.                      
The record date on which shareholders must be recorded as such in the register  
maintained by the transfer secretaries of the Company for the purposes of being 
entitled to attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting is Friday, 25 November
2011. The last day to trade in the Company`s shares is Friday, 18 November 2011.
