The appointment is being made pursuant to the Group's Nomination and Appointment Policy. David Hodnett, who currently serves as the Group's Chief Risk Officer, brings over 30 years of leadership experience and deep institutional knowledge to his new role as SBSA CEO. Shareholders are further advised that Thabani Ndwandwe, the current Chief Risk Officer of SBSA and the Personal and Private Banking division, will succeed David Hodnett as the Group Chief Risk Officer, subject to regulatory approval. In accordance with paragraphs 3.61 and 6.43 of the JSE and Debt & Specialist Securities Listings Requirements respectively, the effective date of the appointments will be determined upon receipt of regulatory approval and accordingly, a follow-up SENS announcement will be made in this regard.
