TRADING STATEMENT

GPI is currently finalising its results for the period ended 31 December 2022, which will be
published on or about 24 March 2023.

In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, a listed company is required to publish a
trading statement as soon as it becomes reasonably certain that the financial results for the
period to be reported on next will differ by 20% or more from the financial results for the
previous corresponding period.

The board and management are pleased to report that the Group has performed well over the
last six months. The successful implementation of GPI’s value unlock strategy together with
the improvement in the performance of GPI’s gaming assets, supported by a decrease in
corporate costs and debt, have resulted in a strong growth in earnings over the period.

Accordingly the Company hereby advises that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that for
the period ended 31 December 2022:

    -   headline earnings per share for the Group will be between 10.35 cents and 9.39 cents,
        representing an improvement of between 115% and 95% compared to the headline
        earnings per share for the group of 4.81 cents reported for the period ended 31
        December 2021; and

    -   earnings per share for the Group will be between 10.33 cents and 9.53 cents,
        representing an improvement of between 156% and 136% compared to the earnings
        per share for the Group of 4.03 cents reported for the period ended 31 December 2021.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or
reported on by the auditor of the Company.

The board of directors of the Company accepts responsibility for the information contained in
