CASH DIVIDEND DECLARATION
Further to the announcement on 4 June 2020, the Board reconvened on 27 July 2020 to evaluate the
group’s operating performance and financial prospects for the purpose of concluding on an interim
dividend. After due consideration, the Board is pleased to announce that an interim dividend of 100
cents per share (March 2019: 123 cents per share) has been declared.
The Board remains cautious about the evolving impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on both the global
and South African macro-economic environment and will continue to evaluate the group’s prospects
against this backdrop when evaluating future dividend decisions.
Notice is hereby given of dividend number 152. A gross interim dividend amounting to 100 cents per
share, in respect of the period ended 31 March 2020, was declared on Monday, 27 July 2020, out of
current earnings. Where applicable the deduction of dividends withholding tax at a rate of 20% will
result in a net dividend amounting to 80 cents per share.
The number of ordinary shares in issue at the date of this declaration is 130 431 804. The Company’s
tax reference number is 9675/139/71/2. Relevant dates are as follows:
Declaration date - Monday, 27 July
Last date to trade - Tuesday, 11 August
Ex -Dividend - Wednesday, 12 August
Record date - Friday, 14 August
Payment date - Monday, 17 August
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Wednesday, 12 August 2020,
and Friday, 14 August 2020, both dates inclusive.
