Murray & Roberts awarded a further R3,7 billion in new Underground Mining Projects

Stakeholders are referred to the announcement released on the Stock Exchange News
Service of the JSE Limited on 16 March 2018, regarding the award of R3,8 billion in new
underground mining projects.

Further to that announcement, Murray & Roberts has been awarded additional underground
mining projects in the sub-Saharan, North American and Australasian markets to the value
of R3,7 billion. These awards include projects for diamond, gold, copper, salt and platinum
mines, to be delivered over a period of two to three years.

This calendar year, the Group has been awarded a total of R7,5 billion of mining project
work, most of which were included in near orders as reported with the Company’s
December 2017 interim results. This growth in the order book supports market research
guidance of the recovery in capex spending by mining firms globally and the view of the
longevity of a mining capex cycle.

The Company continues to be well-positioned to potentially secure more mining projects in
the near term.
