CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the JSE Limited (“JSE”) Listings Requirements, SPAR
is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Andrew Geard Waller as an independent non-
executive director to the board of directors of SPAR (“Board”), with effect from 7 February
2018.

Andrew is a chartered accountant and currently the Financial Director of Grindrod Limited. He
was previously a partner at Deloitte & Touche, during which time he was responsible for the
audits of a number of JSE listed companies.

Andrew is also a non-executive director of Senwes Limited.

The Board looks forward to the value and input that Andrew will bring to the Company.
