APPOINTMENT OF LEAD INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

In compliance with paragraph 3.59(c) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, York shareholders
are hereby advised that Mr Maxwell Nyanteh, an independent non-executive director of the
Company, has been appointed as the lead independent director of the Company with effect from
today, 9 November 2022.

Mr Nyanteh has served as an independent non-executive director of the Company since 2019 and
currently serves as a member of the social and ethics committee and the audit committee.
