CONFIRMATION OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Shareholders are referred to the announcement dated 28 July 2014, in which
the Company advised of the appointment of Mr Neville Francis Nicolau, as
Chief Executive Officer of Basil Read with effect from 1 September 2014. The
Company is pleased to confirm Mr Nicolaus’ appointment as executive
director and member of the board of directors of Basil Read (the “Board”) with
effect from 1 September 2014.

Consequently, Mr Desmond Hughes will be stepping down as interim Chief
Executive Officer and an executive director of the Company with effect from
1 September 2014, but will remain in the business until 31 December 2014.
On behalf of the Board, the Chairman thanks Mr Hughes for his valuable
contribution to the Group over the past twenty years and for his stewardship
during this transition period.
