CHANGES TO BOARD COMMITTEE

In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of
directors of Shoprite Holdings (the “Board”) advises that following a review by the
Nominations Committee of the size and composition of the Social and Ethics Committee
(“SEC”), Ms Wendy Lucas-Bull will step down as member of the SEC with effect from 18
May 2023. She will however continue to attend SEC meetings as an invitee.
