ACQUISITION OF SECURITIES BY BRAEMAR TRADING LIMITED

In accordance with section 3.83(b) of the JSE Listings Requirements and section 122
of the Companies Act No. 71 of 2008, shareholders are hereby advised that Tongaat
Hulett has received formal notification that Braemar Trading Limited has acquired an
interest in the ordinary shares of the Company, such that the total interest in the
ordinary shares of the Company held by Braemar Trading Limited now amounts to
8.5% of the total issued ordinary shares of the Company.
