CHANGE TO THE BOARD

The board of directors of Ascendis is pleased to announce the appointment of
Mr Johannes George Sebulela as an independent non-executive director with effect
from 2 October 2018.

George has a BA (Com) from the University of Fort Hare and a Diploma in
Marketing. He has completed various leadership and development programmes
including, inter alia, the INSEAD Advanced Management Program, The GIBS
Leadership Development Programme and Board Development Program, as well as
the WBS Principles of Business Management.

George is currently the CEO of the Sebvest Group. He holds appointments as a non-
executive director on seven boards, is a committee member of the JSE CEO
Initiative, Secretary General of the Black Business Council and serves on the South
African BRICS Business Council. He is the founder and president of the African
Entrepreneurs Council.

The board welcomes George and believes that he will bring skills, expertise and
experience to the board.
