INTERIM RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 JUNE 2020

1. Salient features

Revenue increased by 13% to R2 829 million, from the R2 499 million in the prior corresponding period.

Operating profit before interest and non-trading items increased by 4% to R444 million, from the R428
million in the prior corresponding period.

Normalised earnings decreased by 1% to R226 million, from the R229 million in the prior corresponding
period.

Normalised earnings per share (“NEPS”) decreased by 2% to 41.8 cents per share, from the 42.5 cents
per share in the prior corresponding period.

Headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) decreased by 8% to 40.0 cents per share, from the 43.4 cents
per share in the prior corresponding period.

Earnings per share (“EPS”) decreased by 24% to 33.6 cents per share, from the 44.4 cents per share
in the prior corresponding period.

No dividend has been declared compared to the 15.0 cents per share declared for the prior
corresponding period.
