NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS BY DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL
RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS

Notifications made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules and
Transparency Rules.

    1. The Company was notified on 8 January 2015 by the trustee of the British American Tobacco
       Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 7 January 2015 the following executive director and
       other persons discharging managerial responsibilities (together the “Participants”) had
       purchased ordinary shares of 25p each in British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the “Shares”) by
       way of the Partnership Share Scheme at a price of 3,420 pence per Share.
        The number of Shares purchased by each Participant are as follows:

    2. The Company was notified on 8 January 2015 that on the same day,
       Mr N R Withington, a person discharging managerial responsibility, acquired 1,000 Shares
       following the exercise of options held under the British American Tobacco Sharesave
       Scheme (the “Scheme”) at an option price of 1,555 pence per Share. Mr Withington
       subsequently sold 1,000 Shares at a price of 3,483.575 pence per Share.

    3. Following the above transactions, the total beneficial and family interests in British American
       Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares of the following executive director and persons
       discharging managerial responsibilities were as follows:
