DELAY IN PUBLICATION OF THE COMPANY’S FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE
2018

Shareholders are referred to the announcement regarding the delay in the publication of the
Company’s financial results for the year ended 30 June 2018 (“financial results”) and trading
statement published on Friday, 21 September 2018, as well as to the further announcement
regarding the delay in publication of financial results, further trading statement and cautionary
announcement published on Thursday, 27 September 2018.

As a result of the Company’s failure to finalise its financial results within the period prescribed by the
Listings Requirements of the Botswana Stock Exchange (“BSE”), Choppies’ trading status on the BSE
has, on 16 October 2018, been annotated with “RE”, to indicate that the Company has failed to
submit its financial results timeously and that listing of the Company's securities on the BSE is under
threat of suspension and possible termination.

Consequently, the JSE, as the secondary exchange, will annotate Choppies’ listing on the JSE trading
system with “RE”.
