NO CHANGE STATEMENT

Shareholders are advised that the audited Company and Group annual financial statements for the 52
weeks ended 26 February 2017 are now available on our website, www.picknpayinvestor.co.za. The
annual financial statements contain no modifications to the summarised audited Group annual financial
statements that were published on 19 April 2017.

Ernst & Young Inc. completed their audit of the Company and Group annual financial statements on 18
April 2017. Their unqualified audit report is presented in the 2017 audited annual financial statements
and is available for inspection at the registered office of the Company.


NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The annual general meeting will be held on Monday, 31 July 2017 at 08:30 in the conference centre of
the registered office, Pick n Pay Office Park, 101 Rosmead Avenue, Kenilworth, Cape Town, 7708, to
transact business as stated in the notice of the annual general meeting.

The notice and proxy of the annual general meeting will be posted to shareholders on 30 June 2017,
together with the summarised audited Group annual financial statements. The notice and proxy form
will also be available on our website, www.picknpayinvestor.co.za, by close of business on 30 June
2017.
