APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Shareholders are referred to the announcement released by Sun International on SENS on 1 February
2017, advising that the Company’s chief financial officer, Mr AM Leeming, had been appointed as the new
chief executive of the group and that a search had been initiated to identify a new chief financial officer.
At a board meeting of the Company held on 24 March 2017, it was agreed to appoint Mr Norman
Basthdaw as the new chief financial officer and finance director of Sun International, with effect from 24
March 2017.
Prior to his appointment to the board, Norman was the Group Executive: Mergers and Acquisitions at Sun
International from March 2013. He is a qualified chartered accountant by profession and holds a B Compt
(Hons), CTA, CA (SA) as well as a M Com and a Higher Diploma in Company Law.
Norman’s prior experience includes senior corporate finance and finance positions at, among others,
ABSA Bank Limited, Gensec Bank Limited a subsidiary of Sanlam, Genbel Securities Limited and Allied
Electronics Corporation Limited. He has also been instrumental in Sun International’s expansion into Latin
America.
The board takes this opportunity of welcoming Mr Basthdaw to the Sun International board and wishes
him a long and rewarding career with the group.
