Sappi Limited releases 2006 Annual Report                                       
With reference to the results announcement for the year ended September 2006    
which was published on 09 November 2006, there have been no changes to the      
results published in that announcement and those contained in Sappi`s 2006      
annual report. The annual report is available on the Sappi website:             
www.sappi.com.  Mailing of the annual report commenced on 15 December 2006.     
Sappi`s annual general meeting will be held at 14:30 on Monday 05 March 2007 at 
the offices of Sappi Limited, 48 Ameshoff Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg,   
South Africa. The notice of the annual general meeting is contained in the      
annual report.                                                                  
Sappi intends to file its annual report on Form 20-F with the United States     
Securities and Exchange Commission on 15 December 2006. Once filed, this        
document will also be available on www.sappi.com
