APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited and section 6.42 of the
Debt and Specialist Securities Listings Requirements, the Standard Bank Group Limited (SBG) board is
pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Berrange to its board and that of The Standard Bank
of South Africa Limited (SBSA) as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 August 2025.
The appointment was made pursuant to the Group's Nomination and Appointment Policy.

Ms Berrange (60) holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Wits) and a Diploma in Advanced Banking (UJ). She
is a registered Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and a seasoned auditing professional with 37 years
of experience. Ms Berrange spent her career at KPMG, where she held various leadership roles before
being admitted to partnership in 1997, a position she held until her retirement in March 2024. During her
tenure, she served as the Audit Engagement Partner for SBG and SBSA during the period 2016 to 2020.
Ms Berrange served as the lead Audit Partner to several major South African banking institutions, gaining
extensive experience across the financial services industry.

Ms Berrange is also appointed as a member of the Audit and the Risk and Capital Management
Committees of SBG and SBSA, with effect from 1 August 2025.

Standard Bank Group and SBSA welcome Ms Berrange to the boards and look forward to her
contribution.
