APPOINTMENTS TO BOARD COMMITTEES AND RETIREMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Shareholders are advised that with effect from Friday 19 November 2021, Mr Nigel Payne, an
independent non-executive director of Sun International has been appointed as an additional member
of the Company’s investment, remuneration and risk committees.
Nigel, who was appointed to the Sun International board on 11 May 2021 is a well-renowned global
sports betting and alternate gaming expert with more than 30 years of board experience, involving
FTSE, AIM and private companies in the UK, covering a wide range of industries.
Shareholders are further advised that in accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings
Requirements, Mr Peter Bacon, an independent non-executive director of the Company, has decided
that he will be retiring from the Sun International board effective 31 March 2022 and will not be standing
for re-election as a director at the Company’s Annual General Meeting which will be held on or about
10 May 2022.
Peter, who first joined Sun International in 1973, acted as the Group Chief Executive from 2003 until
2006 when he retired. In 2013, Peter re-joined the main board of Sun International as an independent
non-executive director and chaired its risk committee as well as served on the Company’s audit
committee.
The board takes this opportunity of thanking Peter for his significant and invaluable contribution which
he has made to the Sun International board over the last eight years.
