Basil Read is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Terrence Desmond
Hughes as a non-executive director to the Board, with effect from 1 January
2015.

Mr Hughes is a Professional Engineer (UK), a Member of the Society of
Engineers, Professional Construction Project Manager, a Member of the
Society of Professional Engineers (Civil) and has also completed a
Management Development Programme (UNISA).

Mr Hughes has over 44 years of experience in the construction and property
development industry, and has been with the group for the last 14 years. He
started his career in the industry with GT Hemingway Consulting Engineers –
Cape, and subsequently held various positions with ZMG Consulting Engineers
– London (UK), Murray & Stewart –Cape, and LTA Building – Cape
respectively, before joining Basil Read Building – Cape in 1996.

The Board welcomes Mr Hughes’s appointment.
