UPDATE IN RELATION TO DISPOSAL OF INTEREST IN BURGER KING - EXTENSION
OF DISTRIBUTION OF CIRCULAR

Shareholders are referred to the Company’s detailed terms announcement on SENS on
19 February 2020 and the updated terms announcement on SENS on 29 July 2020, regarding
the proposed disposal of the Company’s shares it holds in (i) Burger King (South Africa) RF
Proprietary Limited and (ii) Grand Foods Meat Plant Proprietary Limited, to ECP Africa Fund
IV LLC (“Disposal”).

Shareholders are notified that the parties are still finalising the formal agreements in respect
of the Disposal. To the extent that the terms of the formal agreements are agreed, the
Company intends to distribute the circular relating to the Disposal during December 2020 /
January 2021.

Shareholders will be updated in due course.
