CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS                                                
In compliance with Section 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements,       
shareholders of diversified resources group Exxaro Resources Limited are advised
that Ms Simangele Mngomezulu, non-executive director of Exxaro, has resigned    
with effect from 21 December 2009.                                              
The Board wishes to thank Ms Mngomezulu for her contribution to the company     
during her term of office.
