Appointment of Alternate Director
LONDON, 12 NOVEMBER 2021


Gemfields is pleased to announce that Kieran Daly will join the Board as an Alternate Director to
Non-Executive Director Patrick Sacco with immediate effect. Mr Daly will act for Mr Sacco in
the event of any absence.


Mr Daly, a mining engineer, has extensive management experience over a 30-year career in the
mining industry. After an initial period with Anglo American plc in various operational,
marketing, strategy and business development roles, he spent a number of years in investment
banking (Macquarie and UBS) leading various mining equity research teams.


Since 2018, Mr Daly has been responsible for growth and strategic development for the Assore
group where he is an Executive Director of Assore Holdings (Proprietary) Limited, the ultimate
group holding company, and a Non-Executive Director of Assore Holdings’ wholly-owned
subsidiary Assore International Holdings Limited (“AIH”) which holds 311,540,560 ordinary
shares in the Company, representing 26.64 per cent. of the Company’s voting rights. Mr Daly is
also a Non-Executive Director of IronRidge Resources Limited, the AIM-listed gold and lithium
exploration company where AIH is also a shareholder


The following information regarding the appointment of Kieran James Daly (aged 52) is required
to be disclosed under Schedule 2 (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies:
